Melissa Darr the owner and operator of Simply Tea has a deep passion and love for qualtiy gourmet tea and tea accessories. Her love and passion for tea started about in 2005 when she first developed a love for "different" flavoured teas. After a trip around Europe in 2008, which is when she fell in love with the quaint "Tea Shops" in England, her passion was fuelled even further. Upon returning she started researching and making plans to start an online tea store of her own, which not only sold quality loose leaf tea but the tea was affordable for people to purchase. She also wanted to sell tea pots, infusers, storage tins and numerous other tea related items for purchase as well.

Simply Tea was launched online in 2009 and has grown steadily since then.  Melissa has been taking Simply Tea to people of Toowoomba through the local markets and shows.  Her most recent even – the Toowoomba Hospice Camellia Show gave her the opportunity to do a talk on the tea plant the “camellia sinesis” and the health benefits relating to tea. It is her dream to one day open a Tea Store selling the wonderful gourmet teas, tea accessories, kitchenware and accessories and serving light meals and afternoon teas.  The motto says it all about Melissa’s passion for this business .... “For the love of tea”.
